International Students and the Form I-20

Welcome and thank you for showing interest in the International College of Cosmetology’s student exchange program. The Student and Exchange Visitor Program is a program within U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which is under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), to manage foreign students and exchange visitors in the United States through the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System.
The International College of Cosmetology (ICOC) is authorized by the government to offer foreign students the opportunity to study Cosmetology, Esthetics, and Manicure. We welcome international students from all across the globe. Our students can gain exceptional insight into all of the latest and most diverse techniques in the industry.
Applicants are encouraged to apply and submit applications for Admissions at least 120 days prior to the start of a program. International students are asked to furnish proof that they can read, write and speak English fluently. Students will also need to show proof that they have up-to-date vaccinations.
All international students must be fluent in English before they enroll and must be able to demonstrate the following:

Successful completion of a secondary school program that is equivalent to high school in the United States.
Provide proof that applicant has the financial means to meet tuition and other necessary expenses

Applicants who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States are considered international students. All students interested in studying at International College of Cosmetology will need to apply for the M-1 Visa.
All M students that study in the United States need a Form I-20, “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status.” Applicant must submit application to International College of Cosmetology before receiving the Form I-20. Once accepted into our institution, international students will receive a Form I-20 from our designated school official (DSO) Before you apply for your visa, you must first pay the I-901 Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) fee. F and M students pay this fee after acceptance into ICOC and receiving Form I-20.
You need Form I-20 to pay the I-901 SEVIS Fee.

3. Verify Your Information: Once all necessary information is filled out online, you will need to verify your information is accurate and up-to-date. You will have the option to correct any mistakes if needed before you confirm your payment.

4. Select Payment Method: You have the option to pay with a credit card, check, money order or Western Union. If you pay the I-901 SEVIS Fee with a check or money order, you will need to print out a payment coupon from FMJFee.com that has a unique coupon number. This printed information will need to be mailed in with the check or money order. Mailing instructions are found on the payment coupon.

5. View and Print Your Receipt: On FMJFee.com, after you’ve completed your payment, you have the option to check the status or print your payment confirmation on the left side of the website. On this page you can view your payment transaction details and print your Form I-901 payment confirmation.
